Matangi Private Island Resort is a unique
small island resort set on a 240-acre private island, in Fiji’s Northern Group, an hour’s flight from Nadi. This small luxury resort
has just 9 beachfront and island bures, plus
3 treehouse bures overlooking the beach and
ocean, and 1 villa bure. The Fijian- and
Polynesian-style bures are individually unique,
featuring ceiling fan, tile floor, spacious sleeping
and living areas and private verandah.
Matangi’s chefs prepare a variety of cuisine,
from traditional Fijian fare to European,
American and Pacific Rim favorites. Enjoy
dinner on the overwater deck of the dining
bure, or arrange a private dinner under the stars on the beach. Activities include
snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing, kayaking,
windsurfing, waterskiing, light tackle
sport fishing, hiking, private beach
excursions, village tours, and day trips
to Taveuni Island.
